LG has prepared a few surprises for this year’s edition of CES, and two of them are the GT540 and the GW990.

The LG GW990 is the company’s first device to be based on Intel’s Moorestown platform, and it’s more like a MID rather than a phone.

Feature-wise, the LG GW990 offers a 4.8-inch panoramic widescreen display, multi-window UI, multitasking, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, HSPA, digital compass, 3D gaming, 5MP camera, HD Video, a 1850mAh battery, and possibly VoIP calls, too.

The features of LG GT540 include: 320 x 480 pixels touchscreen display, “motion UI player”, DivX and WMV playback, Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, access to Android Market, 3MP camera, and MicroSD card support (up to 32GB).

Unfortunately, there are no photos of the GT540 available at the moment, but we know that the smartphone should be available starting April 2010. Pricing details were not announced.
